Shaykh Muhammad al-Madkhalee’s interaction with Shaykh Fawzaan & his status with the Senior Scholars

Bismillaah

Check this video Shaykh Muhammed al-Madkhalee requesting Shaykh al-Fawzaan to clarify a matter

Inshaa’Allaah there are many things to learn from this short clip:-

1. How to interact with the Scholars, Duaat and our elders

2. How to ask questions

3. Status of Shaykh Muhammad bin Haadee in the eyes of the Senior Scholars. 4 seconds into the video, Shaykh Fawzaan refers to Shaykh Muhammad al-Madkhalee as “Shaykh Muhammad… Muhammad Hakami”. Perhaps the reason can be understood from the narration of Ustaadh Abdulilah Lahmaamee below…

Sheikh Falaah said of Shaykh Muhammad bin Haadee al-Madkhali that he indeed was blessed by Allaah in bringing the proof where it was needed and his memory mashaallaah of Shaykh Haafidh al-Hakami’s thousands of lines of poetry  who is considered to be his sheikh’s sheikh. Also sheikh Falah mentioned when he visited a month ago that Sheikh Muhammad having learnt much at a young age amidst a scholarly family, indeed has excelled many in his age and those older than him.

Check this video for proof of what Shaykh Falaah has mentioned above

Impression of the memory of Shaykh Muhammed al-Madkhalee

It was narrated a few months ago by Shaykh Khaalid ibn Abdur Rahmaan al-Misree that the Imaam of Jarh wat Ta’deel of our time, Dr. Rabee’ al-Madkhalee called Dr. Muhammad ibn Haadee al-Madkhalee an “Allaamah“. Click http://www.sahab.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=126731

On a personal note, I (ابو عبدالله ساجد) had the opportunity to sit in one of the lectures of Shaykh Muhammad before Hajj last year and also ask him a few questions after the lecture at Masjid Qiblatain in Madeenah. Mashaa’Allaah laa quwata illa billaah, the Shaykh is very charismatic and full of energy. When he is around there’s a buzz in the place and his energy and enthusiasm passes on to others. WAllahul Muwaffiq.

Inshaa’Allaah you will get your answer from the below Q&A with the Permanent Committee of Scholars of Saudi Arabia which was headed by Shaykh Ibn Baz (Group 2, Vol 2, pg. 42)

Q 4: Allah (Exalted be He) says, Help you one another in Al-Birr and At-Taqwâ (virtue, righteousness and piety); but do not help one another in sin and transgression.(Surah Mai’dah 5:2) It is said that based on this Ayah (Qur’anic verse), Muslims have to cooperate with all the Islamic groups, even if they differ among themselves in the Manhaj (methodology) and way of Da`wah (calling to Islam). Tabligh for example adopts a method of Da`wah different from that adopted by the Muslim Brotherhood, Hizb Al-Tahrir, Al-Jihad Group and Salafiyyah (those following the way of the righteous predecessors). What is the criterion governing cooperation with all the Islamic groups? Can it be limited to attending conferences and seminars? What if non-Muslims are invited to enter Islam? This may be the cause of huge confusion to new converts, since each group will invite them to its centers to listen to its scholars and they may be confused. How can this problem be avoided?

A: It is your duty to cooperate with the group adopting the Manhaj of the Qur’an, Sunnah (whatever is reported from the Prophet) and the Salaf (righteous predecessors) in inviting people to witness to the Oneness of Allah and worship Him Alone while warning them against Shirk (associating others with Allah in His Divinity or worship), Bid`ahs (innovations in religion), and sins. After that, you should advise the groups deviating from that Manhaj and if they return to the truth, you can cooperate with them, but if they insist on their disagreement, you should stay away from them and adhere to the Qur’an and Sunnah. Cooperating with the group sticking to the Book of Allah and Sunnah can be in every good, righteous and virtuous way. It can be by attending seminars, conferences, sermons and lectures, in addition to participating in anything that benefits Islam and Muslims.
