A Christian points to the sky to his True Lord

As salaamu ‘alaykum wa rahmatullah

I begin with the name of Allah, the Most Beneficient, the Most Merciful.

We have learned from the scholars in teaching their classes on Kitaab at-Tawheed (Book of Islamic Monotheism) and Qawaid ul-‘Arba (Four Rules of Shirk) how Allah has put the concept of Tawheed ur-Ruboobiyyah (Tawheed of Lordship) in the fitrah (natural disposition) of all of the creation.

SubhanAllah.

Just this week, I was talking with one of my co-workers; he is going through a tough situation relating to work.

So i tried to console him by saying “Don’t stress yourself out too much over this, it’s not like this is the only place left where you can work”

So then he said to me, “Do you believe in the Lord?” And continued saying: “I believe in the Lord (and he pointed his fingers to the sky) and I keep supplicating to Him to take this burden off of me”

He continued to say “I am weak and He is powerful so I say to Him, ‘Here take this from me'”

Regardless of the fact if he was referring to Jesus as his Lord or the Lord of Jesus (Allah), the fact that he pointed his fingers to the sky showed to me that he affirms that the Lord is above us, as is befitting of Him subhana wa ta’ala.

Even the Christian’s aqeedah in terms of Ruboobiyyah is better than the aqeedah where some Muslims say (O Allah, guide them) “Allah is everywhere”

SubhanAllah.

Listen to Shaykh Saalim at-Taweel’s beneficial points on the benefits of talking about Allah being above the Creation!

Masha Allah, very nice! You see athletes, whether college or pro, doing this all the time!
