Islamic Games for Ramadhaan

As salaamu ‘alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu.

It’s been quite long since I’ve posted anything. After shaykh Salim’s visit, things have been quite busy with family members visiting and preparation for Ramadhaan.

Now that I have a smartphone, it’ll be much easier to review and reply to comments and make quick short posts inshaAllah. The cell phone technology is amazing subhanAllah and it’s mind boggling what we are capable of just with a cell phone. Anywayz that’s a side topic 😉

I have been tasked by my local masjid to come up with some games for the teens/kids for the weekends in ramadhaan. Not just the last 10 days but even before that.

So I wanted to reach out to all of you if you have seen any successful games where they not just learn something beneficial in the deen but also have fun learning it.

I will be preparing an Islamic jeopardy game with different categories. Once it’s complete I’ll post the file here so others can use it as well.

If anyone has any ideas, please share.

BarakAllahu feekum. 🙂

    assalaamu ‘alaykum,

    The islamic a-z game

i play it all the time…

each person says 2 islamic words from the alphabet letter he is on.. so person one says 2 islamic words begining with ‘A’. Then person 2 says 2 islamic words begining with ‘B’… Then person 3 says 2 islamic words begining with ‘C’ etc etc etce

God thing is that a minimum of 2 ppl can play and there is no maximum number of ppl who can play… just g round in turns…

another game is similar to this one… everyone says ONE islamic word form ‘A’, working all the way to ‘Z’… but person 2 has to say the first persons word aswell… then person 3 has to say person 1 and person 2’s word before saying his ioslamic word (which would begin with ‘C’)

    hope this makes sense…. lol

    Wassalaamu ‘alaykum

    As salaamu alaykum,

A good friend of mine made a beautiful printable Ramadan board game (quiz style with Ramadan/fasting/Islamic fact quiz cards: http://ummabdulbasir.wordpress.com/2009/09/16/ramadan-game/

Also, at my site I have a digital PowerPoint jeopardy game: http://tjramadan.talibiddeenjr.amanahwebs.com/downloads/04-games-Ramadan-Jeopardy.pps

      Mashaallah. I’ll check it out.

Looking forward to using these games to increase brotherhood. And for the sisters to increase sisterhood.

I decided not to do any Islamic games during the last 10 nights because those nights are meant for worship that is legislated in our deen.

We will use these games outside of ramadhan inshaAllah.

      Awesome replies so far 🙂
