Individual The directions to the Masjid are as follows:

Via the Southbound Van Wyck Expressway
Get off at the Liberty Avenue exit and proceed straight until you pass the second traffic light; the Masjid is the second building on your left (between an Islamic book store and a church)

Via the Northbound Van Wyck Expressway
Get off at the Linden Boulevard exit and make a left at the second traffic light. Make a left at the first light; the Masjid is the second building on your left (between an Islamic book store and a church)

Via Subway
Take the E/J train to the Sutphin Boulevard station and transfer to the Q9 bus going towards Archer Avenue and away from Jamaica Avenue; get off at 109th Avenue and cross over 109th Avenue. The Masjid is the second building on your left (between an Islamic bookstore and a church)

Who is Shaykh Saalim at-Taweel (may Allaah preserve him)?

· The Shaykh is Abu Sa’d Saalim bin Sa’d bin Saalim at-Taweel.

· The Shaykh was born May 16th, 1962.

· The Shaykh graduated in 1407H, from the department of Usool ad-Deen, at Imaam Muhammad bin Sa’ood Islamic University in Qaseem, in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

· The Shaykh is an Imaam and Khateeb under the Ministry of Islamic Affairs in Kuwait, since 1991CE.

· From 1402-1407H, The Shaykh was a regular student of Shaykh Muhammad bin Saalih al-‘Uthaymeen, may Allaah have mercy upon him.  Also, he has spent a number of years close to the Shaykh of Salafiyyeen in Kuwait Abu Yoosuf Abdur-Rahmaan Abdus-Samad, may Allah have mercy upon him, as well as the Esteemed Shaykh Falaah bin Ismaa’eel Mundakaar, may Allaah preserve him, and others.

· In 1995CE, the Shaykh obtained a High Diploma in al-Hadeeth ash-Shareef from the College of Sharee’ah at Kuwait University.

· In 2004CE, the Shaykh obtained a Masters from the department of Hadeeth and its Sciences at the University of Karachi.

· The Shaykh is a Family Affairs Consultant under the Ministry of Justice in Kuwait.

· During the past twenty one years, the Shaykh has been teaching in Kuwait and other countries, like United Arab Emirates (UAE), Yemen, the United Kingdom, the United States of America, and others.

    I’ll be uploading the lecture and QA file soon from Shaykh Saalim’s lecture on Tuesday. It was really really beneficial mashaAllah. I encourage all of you to download it.

    Also, soon, I’ll post some lectures that the shaykh gave in other parts of Northeast US.
