The woman who forbids the evil of an objectionable act done by a man

The woman who forbids the evil of an objectionable act done by a man

His eminence ash-Shaykh ‘Abdul-‘Azeez bin Baaz (rahimahullah) was asked:

“If I see a man walking in the street displaying behavior that is not befitting of a man to display such as throwing cigarette butts or a handkerchief in the middle of the street, etc should I speak to him and advise him?”

Answer: Giving advice to the Muslims, forbidding the evil and enjoining the good is legislated for both the men and the women due to the Statement of Allah Most High:

{And the believing men and women are supporters of one another, they enjoin the good and forbid the evil.} Soorat-ut-Tawbah: 71

And the statement of the Prophet (peace & blessings of Allah be upon him): “Whomever of you see something that is evil being done then let him change it with his hand, but if he is not able to do this then let him change is with his tongue and if he is still not able to change this then let him hate it with his heart as that is the weakest of faith.” Related by Muslim in his Saheeh.

So when you see some evil being done then forbid it in a good manner using modesty and while being covered when there is no one else but you to forbid the evil may Allah grant success to all.
